# Speakery

> Speakery is a speaker training, presentation coaching and keynote company based in Taufkirchen, near Munich, Germany. It helps people who have to stand up and be understood: conference speakers, founders, executives, academics, creators and corporate teams. Speakery has a particular specialism in professionals presenting in English as a second language. Founded and led by Marcus John Henry Brown, a British speaker coach and performance artist who has lived and worked in Germany since 1993. Training is delivered in English and German, in person and online. ## Summary

All Speakery work is built on the Speakery SPARK, a five-element model covering Significance, Purpose, Attitude, Risk and Knowledge. Most presentation training works on the surface: nerves, hands, jokes, slides. Speakery works on the five things underneath, on the grounds that when a talk fails to land, the cause is almost never delivery.

Every page on speakery.de carries both English and German in the same document, switched with a toggle at the top right. Adding `?lang=de` or `?lang=en` to any URL selects a language directly.

Prices below are current as of August 2026. They are net and VAT is added on the invoice, with one exception: the Alpine Retreat is priced including VAT.

The difference between 1:1 training and SPARK Mentoring is the deadline, not the format. 1:1 training is for a specific date in the diary: a conference keynote, a townhall, a panel, a pitch, a podcast. Mentoring is for the time when no single event is driving the work.
